Our criteria for books posted on this blog:
*Books need to be an appropriate reading level (Approximately 4th grade-9th grade)
*The subject is appropriate in nature, and not too mature for elementary aged students
*The subject captures student's interest, and keeps them involved in reading
*The books will span across different genres

If you're on this site, it means your child is an advanced reader and you might be having difficulty finding books for him/her to read! Often times, young advanced readers are ready to read more difficult text but are not mature enough for the content being discussed. This is such a common problem to experience...but a good one! Here is a list of books that we have either read or been told about as being appropriate reading material for your elementary aged child.
